Borne' Saddlery - Demo Day in Harvard
On Saturday, January 21, from 2:00 to 4:00, stop by Sheriffmuir Farm at 157 Bolton Road in Harvard, to meet Karen Borne, owner of Borne' Saddlery. Karen will have seven demo saddles, including a model for very high withered horses that can be so difficult to fit and also a jumping saddle. Check our Borne' Saddlery's website at www.bornesaddlery.com
The owner of Sheriffmuir Farm is Candy Frazer. Candy discovered these beautiful saddles last November at the Equine Affaire and immediately fell in love with them.
You are most welcome to bring your horse for a fitting on the 21st, but you must speak with Candy beforehand so she can coordinate trailer parking. You can call her at 978-456-3740 or email her at candyfrazer@verizon.net. Also, if you would like to arrange for a private fitting, just call Candy and she can arrange it for you.

You are cordially invited and welcome to attend if you have an interest in getting involved (even if you haven't worked directly with horses before), or if you'd just like to find out more about this group of angels whose goal is to "preserve equine integrity" by sheltering and caring for hapless horses who have been neglected or abused, or who need temporary assistance.
For more information contact Susan Sheridan (508-882-3704) or Karin Orsi (508-892-3507).

Introducing Your Equine Team

This blog is a labor of love for us!
We're both realtors with the Harvard, Massachusetts office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, but our first love is horses!
Gwen Cook has more than 30 years experience as a breeder, owner, and trainer of Arabian horses. She currently has two retired friends, Emazing Grace (Emauson x Bay Delight), and Back Bey (Bay-el-Bey x FTL Windsong). Gwen purchased Gracie and Bey both as babies and raised them herself. Both have had very successful show careers (Back Bey made two trips to the U.S. Arabian Horse National show). Gracie went on to a second career teaching young riders. Together Gracie and Bey had three daughters; Diva Bey, Beyesque and Ad Lib.
Maureen Harmonay owned, bred, and raced thoroughbreds for almost 20 years, under the auspices of her own stable, and her father's "Saxon Woods Stables," with runners at Belmont, Aqueduct, and Suffolk Downs. She ran a thoroughbred bloodstock agency, Harmonay Thoroughbred Associates, from an office in Boston's Fanueil Hall for many years, and served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Thoroughbred Breeders Association. Maureen considers horse racing her avocation, and cherishes the days she spends at Saratoga each summer.
With our backgrounds in these diverse arenas of horse ownership, we specialize in marketing and finding horse properties for clients in a wide range of price ranges and geographical locations. We're licensed as real estate agents in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, so we can look far and wide for the perfect farm or facility--just call "Your Equine Team" if we can help!
